This Portuguese plate bears the classic “spiderweb pattern” that is diagnostic of this type of ceramic. These have been found in late 17th century contexts at the Clark and Lake Trading Post in Maine. The co-occurrence of sherds of this ceramic in both cellar holes indicates that they were likely filled around the same time.
