C-5 Unknown onsite provenience
We know that this chain link was found at the C-5 site in 1968, but we don’t know exactly where. It is another link from the chain that would have hung pots and kettles over the cooking fire. Significant wear can be seen on the left and right sides of this link (what would have been the top and bottom of the link when it was in use) attesting to the significant use that it saw. It is not known why the thickness is different between the two links. They may have been from different parts of the chain or been used for different purposes.
