Knoll Site Prehistoric

These prehistoric artifacts were recovered from the Knoll Site, the prehistoric site that occupied the same area as the later Taylor house. On the left is a mostly complete Middle Archaic (6,000-8,000 BP) Neville point. Neville points found on Cape Cod often bear serrated edges, a trait which may have helped them saw through flesh and increase blood loss. On the right is a grinding stone probably used to process seeds as opposed to maize.
