This rhyolite projectile point is of a style termed Atlantic by East Coast archaeologists. It originated in Pennsylvania and its presence in Yarmouth indicates either that there was a migration of people or ideas from the heartland of this point. Whatever the case, it represents tangible evidence of major changes that were happening to people’s lives ca. 3700 years ago.
