This appears to be what is called a Rossville point by archaeologists. It dates to the Early Woodland Period, 3,000-2,000 years ago, is made of rhyolite, a volcanic rock that originated from the giant volcano where Boston now sits, and was a favored material, along with Quartz, for points and tools in Southeastern Massachusetts.
